Meeting Recaps

General Club Meetings

Irvington Key Club does its best to communicate to our members, whether it be through our constant Facebook posts, email updates, shameless advertising during the school day, or club meetings! General club meetings are your chance to catch up with the whereabouts of the club along with your fellow club members. These meetings are primarily ran by the president and their officer board with the help of the board members from time-to-time. The presentations that are shown usually comprise of club updates, occasional division updates, service events, and other news that comes our way.

Club meetings are typically held during lunch in one of these three locations: Room 85, Room 104A (Norse Hall), or Valhalla (theater). To know when the next meeting is, be on the look out for Facebook posts on the Irvington Key Club page, emails, posters, and announcements over the intercom. If you were not able to attend a meeting, do not fret! Meeting powerpoints can be found attached to recap emails, Facebook posts, and even on this website.

Board Meetings

Our officer board does not only get together for general club meetings as we hold board meetings as well. The purpose of board meetings is for our officers and board members to communicate their ideas, concerns, and suggestions with each other. In addition, this is the perfect opportunity for you to give our board your feedback as a member! These meetings are not exclusive to the elected board as we encourage and welcome our members to attend. See what it is like to be a part of our board, what goes on in the background of the club, and learn more about the wherabouts and duties within the club outside of our general meetings.

Board meetings are held at least once a month and the time and location may differ each time. Although we do encourage you to attend these meetings as a member, we stray from publicizing them too much to prevent us from spamming your Facebook feeds and emails. However, we would still love to see your faces at future board meetings! If you would like to attend, just contact the current president and see when the next one is scheduled for. If you are not able to attend but do not have the time, meeting minutes and agendas will be posted here! Additionally, if you have urgent feedback or suggestions for us before the next board meeting, send us an email or contact an officer and we would be glad to assist you.

Division Council Meetings DCM

Division Council Meetings, more widely known as DCMs, are held by your division's Lieutenant Governor ten times during their term. It is a way for them to communicate current division goals, achievements, updates, and recaps in person rather than solely relying on social media or other means. Attending DCMs gives you the perfect opportunity to get more involved and make those infamous "keynnections" within your division! Aside from presentations, most DCMs include activities such as service events to help you continue giving back to the community. However, Key Club is not all work; we give you opportunites to have fun and bond with each other through activities like pie-ing the Division Leadership Team, ice skating, and icebreakers!

Each school in the division has the opportunity to host a DCM, so the location may vary each meeting. If you ever wanted to get more involved in Key Club, then attend the next DCM and see what a room full of Key Clubbers is capable of achieving! DCM agendas are sent out by the Lieutenant Governor before each meeting to the google group and meetings are sent out by the division secretary as well. Be on the look out for when the next scheduled DCM is by checking in the school club Facebook group, emails, and division Facebook group!
